Oppo F21 Pro Series Roundup: Here’s what we know about it so far


Tech giant Oppo has confirmed that it is bringing a new smartphone series to India very soon. Oppo F21 Pro Series is confirmed to be launching on April 12 at 5 PM IST. The Oppo F21 Pro Series will include 2 smartphones- F21 Pro 4G and F21 Pro 5G.

The company itself has revealed some details about the series and adding to it are some reports which might be true. In this article, we have compiled every detail available about the upcoming Oppo F21 Pro Series, read on to stay updated.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Design

Ever since its announcement, Oppo has been emphasizing a lot on the design of this new series. The brand claims that the Oppo F21 Pro Series will be the first to have a Fiberglass Leather back panel that will make the device thinner and lighter. The smartphones will have a boxy design and look premium. The edges will be flat and the leather material at the back will be waterproof and resistant to wear and tear.

The handsets will have a triple camera setup at the back which will be inside a rectangular module. The power button is on the right and the volume rockers are on left. The devices are expected to arrive in Cosmic Black, Rainbow Spectrum, and Orange colors. The bottom of the device will also house a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, primary microphone, and a 3.5mm headphone audio jack.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Display & Hardware

The Oppo F21 Pro 4G is expected to sport a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and is rumored to have up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. It might also have 5GB virtual RAM expansion support.

The 5G variant of the series will have the same display size and resolution but is claimed to have a refresh rate of 60Hz. It is said to be powered by Snapdragon 695 and has up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage capacity. 5GB virtual RAM support is also expected.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Camera

The Oppo F21 Pro 4G will have a triple camera setup at the back with a 64MP main, 2MP depth, and an additional 2MP sensor. The front side will have a 32MP Sony IMX709 front camera for selfies and video calls.

Oppo F21 Pro 5G is speculated to have the same rear camera setup as the 4G variant but the selfie camera is claimed to be 16MP.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Software & Battery

Reports claim that Oppo F21 Pro 4G will run Android 12 out of the box with the company’s own ColorOS 12 custom user interface on top. It will have a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Whereas the Oppo F21 Pro 5G is also said to run Android 12 with ColorOS 12.1 and pack a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Oppo F21 Pro Series Price & Availability

Although Oppo has not confirmed anything about the storage variants and pricing of the upcoming F21 devices, there have been reports which confirm the prices of these two handsets.

Oppo F21 Pro 4G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is said to be priced at Rs. 21,990 in India and arrive in 2 colors- Cosmic Black and Sunset Orange.

While the Oppo F21 Pro 5G with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to be priced at Rs. 25,990 in India and come in 2 colorways- Rainbow Spectrum and Cosmic Black.

Ahead of the launch, Oppo F21 Pro will be up for pre-order via offline stores from April 15th. There will be a 10% cashback via a majority of banks including HDFC, Standard Chartered, ICICI, and others. No cost EMI for 6 months will be available as well along with offers like an upgrade bonus and free screen replacement. The sale is expected to go live on the 18th or 19th of April across India.
